NetManager: Interoperative and InterAgency Communications
Deployed and operating at Milwaukee County EMS and at Northwest Community Hospital, a major Suburban Chicago EMS System, NetManager promises leading-edge inter-connectivity for interoperative and interagency communications. The City of Detroit has also deployed a NetManager communications network.
NetManager plugs right into CAREpoint giving it expanded features for interoperability. NetManager is a matrix or switch designed to enable switching from one mode of communication to another. In automatic mode, any caller may simply 'steer' their connection from one mode to another using a common telephone dialer touch tone button pad on a field radio or cellular phone. Voice prompts guide callers to their intended destination link or informs that the link is already in use or not available. The caller may then 'steer' his call to another resource, even without hanging up or disconnecting.
Alternatively, NetManager may also operate as a very simple and effective manual dispatching communications matrix or switch. The NetManager is of modular design so any size network may be built and then easily expanded, over time, based upon important, but ever increasing, needs. When these powerful features are combined, with the many exclusive features of the central CAREpoint system, it becomes one of the most comprehensive communications networks built specifically for emergency and public safety use. |
