Prehospital 12-Lead ECG Reports - Faster, More Reliable, Lower Cost

Many existing radios, cellphones, and data cards simply will not support consistent fast prehospital 12-Lead ECG report transmissions. The need for a more reliable lower cost transmission method to make these work is potentially very valuable. Enter the Rosetta Lt data translator and 12-lead transmission system from General Devices.

Shown above is the Rosetta Lt data translator. The Rosetta automatically receives the 12-lead report from the defibrillator. Afterwards it transmits the report to the CAREpoint EMS Workstation in only about 60 seconds. It is the only system to perform this function over both conventional radio channels (VHF, UHF, 800 MHz) and digital cellphones (Nextel, AT&T Cingular, T-Mobile) or conventional 'land-line' telephones. Since the 12-lead is displayed at the hospital 'live' or as it arrives, there is no need to wait for a print-out. When received, it may then be automatically or manually printed, faxed, or even e-mailed as an Adobe Acrobat file (PDF) to a cath-lab or interventional cardiologist's hand-held PDA phone for a quick and accurate evaluation.

With Rosetta Lt, all operations may be performed on a 'single phone call' or 'single radio channel', without the need to 'hang up' and 'redial' or make a second or third call. There is no need to purchase, and monthly subscribe to, seperate phones or expensive cellular gateway data devices. The Rosetta Lt is battery operated and detachable which makes the 12-Lead report portable because it temporarily stores the report in its built-in memory chips. This means that once a patient's report is stored in the Rosetta Lt, it may also be taken to an ambulance, radio, or a land-line phone nearby to quickly transmit the report to get the job done. The Rosetta Lt 12-lead report may also be sent during transport. This is especially important if the original location has inadequate communications or connectivity to send a report. view more
